And I am here at DuBois Cary because Amanda and Monica have cultivated a professional environment that is almost literally effervescent with positivity, support and intelligence. I am particularly proud to support our LGBTQ clients and their families during times of transition. This is an exciting time to work in family law as our society adapts to changing ideas about identity, relationships, communication, and place. I joined the DuBois Cary Law Group (née DuBois Law Firm) in 2007. I was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, attended college in Tacoma, Washington and have remained in the Seattle metro area ever since. I also have a boxer named Lola who is the sweetest, gentlest dog in the world! In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, yoga, outdoor & water activities, anything that involves sunshine and/or the beach and working on home decor/projects.ī.A., Religion – University of Puget Sound ![]() ![]() Outside of work, I cherish my most important role as a mother to my young son and daughter who have taught me more about love and life than I ever thought possible. I enjoy the personal level of interaction that working as a family law paralegal gives and the feeling of helping others in an area of life that is so meaningful and important. I joined the firm in 2011 after starting my career with the court system in 2006 as a court clerk with King County District Court and then in 2009 as a bailiff to a King County Superior Court Judge. in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati in 2008. in Criminal Justice from Seattle University in 2006 and a M.S. After contemplating a few other career choices, I realized that the legal field was the right direction for me. I also spent each summer in Bakersfield, CA with my father’s side of the family which is second home to me. I grew up in North Seattle before moving to Sumner, WA where I graduated from high school.
